Terms of Service

By using podscribie you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

The service

podscribie transcribes audio podcasts you point us at, generates AI summaries, and lets you chat with the resulting transcripts. We use Deepgram for transcription and OpenAI for summaries — see the Privacy Policy for the full subprocessor list.

Your account

• One person per account. No sharing credentials.
• You're responsible for what you transcribe and what you do with the output.
• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK).

Acceptable use

Don't:

• Transcribe content you don't have the right to access (paywalled audio, leaked recordings, etc).
• Use the service to harass, defame, or violate anyone's rights.
• Resell our output as your own product without explicit permission.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or load-test the service without permission.
• Try to bypass plan limits via multiple accounts.

Plans & billing

• Subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel.
• Cancel any time from the Stripe billing portal — access continues through the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: we'll refund the most recent charge on request within 14 days, no questions, if you barely used the service. Otherwise refunds are at our discretion.
• We may change pricing for new sign-ups; existing subscribers keep their grandfathered price unless we email at least 30 days in advance.

Content ownership

• You own your transcripts & summaries — we just generate them for you.
• We claim no ownership over the underlying podcast audio. We are a tool; the podcast publisher owns the work.
• We may publish summaries we generate at podscribie.com/p/... under fair-use principles. Rights holders can request takedown — see Privacy → DMCA.

AI accuracy

Transcripts and AI summaries can be wrong. We make a best effort but offer no guarantees of accuracy. Don't rely on a podscribie summary for medical, legal, or financial decisions without checking the source.

Termination

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraud. We'll refund any unused paid time unless the suspension is for fraud.

Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to what you've paid us in the prior 12 months.

Changes

We'll email subscribers at least 14 days before any material change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
