Use case · Claude

Podcast transcripts to Claude in three steps.

Bulk-export podcast transcripts to Claude as a Markdown + JSON zip, drop the folder into a Claude Project, and turn a year of episodes into one queryable knowledge base. Same playbook Lenny Rachitsky used to feed 320 podcasts into Claude and call it his “cowork.”

Free · 2 episodes/day, up to 45 minutes each.

Speaker-labeled podcast transcript with timestamps, ready to export to a Claude Project.

How it works

  1. 01

Subscribe to the show on podscribie

Paste the Apple Podcasts or RSS link, hit Follow. Every new episode auto-transcribes when it drops — you don't have to remember to come back.

  2. 02

    Bulk-transcribe the back catalog

Tick the episodes you want from the show page (or Select all), hit Transcribe selected. Pro plans handle a 400-episode catalog in one batch.

  3. 03

Export → drop into Claude Projects

From the Library, select the episodes, hit Export. You get a clean .zip of Markdown files + a JSON manifest. Unzip, drop the folder into a new Claude Project's Knowledge, and start chatting.

What you get

  • Speaker-labeled transcripts (no “Speaker 1, Speaker 2” mush)
  • Timestamps inline so Claude can cite specific moments
  • Markdown formatted for Claude Projects' file uploader
  • JSON manifest with episode metadata for filtering
  • No Apple Podcasts 200-word copy limit
  • Works on Windows — no Mac-only Sonoma trick required

Frequently asked

How many transcripts can a Claude Project hold?+

Claude Projects accept up to 200 MB of files. A 1-hour transcript averages ~80 KB of Markdown, so you can fit roughly 2,500 episode transcripts in a single Project — about 6 years of a weekly show.

Will Claude cite specific timestamps in its answers?+

Yes. Each paragraph in the exported Markdown is prefixed with a [HH:MM:SS] tag and the speaker label. When you ask Claude something like 'when did they talk about pricing?', it pulls the timestamp into its answer.

Can I do this with Spotify-only podcasts?+

Most shows on Spotify also publish RSS — paste the Apple Podcasts or RSS link instead and we'll resolve it. True Spotify-exclusives (e.g. some Dax Shepard episodes) we can't transcribe because Spotify doesn't expose audio publicly.

Is this faster than copy-pasting from Apple Podcasts?+

Apple's transcript view caps copy at ~200 words at a time and is iPhone-only. To copy a 90-minute episode you'd need ~150 manual selections. podscribie exports a whole season in one click.

What about the API — can I script this?+

Yes. Pro and Studio plans expose an API for programmatic transcription and export. Send a feed URL, get back a webhook with the zip URL when done.
